Hands-on cooking class IN ITALIAN
The Seattle-Perugia Sister City Association is sponsoring a cooking class -- GIVEN IN ITALIAN -- with Anne Robichaud, a 40-year resident of Umbria, on Saturday, February 25.
Anne comes to the USA every year for classes and lectures; this year she'll be in Seattle for several days in late Feb.
The cost is $85 per person. Here is a link to her website: http://annesitaly.com/
The class is limited to 16, and it's on a first come basis. One class, given in English, has already been filled. The second class, offered in Italian, is a great opportunity for students or those wanting to brush up on their language skills.
The Feb. 25 event lasts 4 hours, cost is $85 per person, inclusive. Location to be determined.
The cooking lesson starts at 11 a.m. and lasts two hours, followed by eating the meal we just prepared (1-3 p.m.) The menu includes various antipastos, a pasta dish, main course, side dish(es), dessert. Cooking lessons are "hands-on" and throughout the lesson, Anne share Umbrian culinary lore and folk traditions. There's a DVD shown that introduces the Umbrian landscape and the farmpeople who taught her to cook.
If interested, they should send a personal check of $85 per person ASAP to:
